WakeDriveWakeDrive is a trucking and freight application provided by Wake Tech LLC ("Wake Tech," "we," "us"). WakeDrive is used by professional drivers and their carriers to manage loads, navigation, document capture, and communication with dispatch. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account & profile: your name, phone number, email, carrier/driver identifiers, and login credentials used to access your loads.
- Location: precise device location, including in the background while you are assigned to an active load, used to track load progress, estimate arrival, and automatically check you in and out of stops. Background location is only collected while you have an active load and location permission is granted.
- Camera & photos: images you capture of bills of lading, proof of delivery, and other load paperwork, and photos you choose to send to dispatch.
- Microphone: audio captured only when you use the in-app voice assistant (after you tap to talk or activate it).
- Load & app activity: the loads, stops, status updates, messages, and documents you create or interact with in the app.
- Device & diagnostic data: device model, operating system, app version, and crash/performance logs used to keep the app working.
How we use your information
- To show you your assigned loads and stops, and to power navigation and tracking.
- To automatically update dispatch, carriers, brokers, and customers on load status and location.
- To process the paperwork and photos you submit for a load.
- To provide the voice assistant and respond to your requests.
- To secure your account, prevent fraud, and improve app reliability.
How information is shared
WakeDrive shares your load and location information with the carrier, broker, and customer connected to your loads so they can track shipments, and with service providers that help us operate the app (for example mapping, hosting, and messaging). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Location permissions and your control
You control location access in your device settings and may turn it off at any time. Turning off background location will stop automatic stop check-ins and live tracking, which may limit core features. You can also revoke camera and microphone access in settings.
Data retention
We keep load records, documents, and related data for as long as needed to operate the service and to meet legal, tax, and transportation recordkeeping requirements. Account data is retained while your account is active.
Security
We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
Children
WakeDrive is a tool for professional drivers and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the date above when we do.
